Dusty Ball and Carousel

What's at the top of the carousel and very, very neglected? The dusty ball with the pointy thing on top. However, from this angle, the dusty ball looks like a giant scary clown face.



And just in case you were wondering what makes the horses go 'round... I figured out today its just a camshaft. Mystery solved.
