Thank You
Looking at the cards in the grocery store yesterday, I quickly became frustrated at the lack of truly pretty thank you cards that would hold a 5x7 picture. Luckily, since I was out of money until payday, I didn't resort to buying the generic card.
I happened to follow a link that Jamie had on her blog to Claudette. Thank goodness! That was the divine inspiration I needed to be able to create the perfect card. With a little patience (and I do mean a little - I don't have a lot), Paint Shop Pro, a great picture of Alyssa (conveniently the granddaughter of the recipients), and a newly downloaded Baby Blocks font, I had the almost perfect card.
Of course, I see a few mistakes I made, especially nearing the end, when the picture and the fonts weren't lining up as I wanted, but I don't think anyone who hasn't been staring at it for hours would notice. much. I printed it on the bottom of a glossy sheet, folded it in half, and cut out a piece of green speckled card stock to write on the inside. Then I took a full leftover sheet of red cardstock from a scrapbooking project and made a makeshift envelope. I wrote my thanks on the inside, and Voila! The perfect Thank You card!
