Day 10 - 6 days remain
Of the Knitting Olympics. I thought that with my schedule, this was about all I could commit to, and I was right. Seems as if I am needed at work this week, which means I won't be able to work on it any during the days, or evenings on Wednesday (church interview), Thursday (beekeeping), or Friday (going to my sisters' for Saturday's conference). That leaves only Saturday, on the two hour trip to Swannanoa and back. IF my sister and I aren't gabbing all the way... and if I don't get motion sick trying to knit and ride the curves down 321.
Hmph. Might be a 5' scarf afterall, instead of the 6 1/2 I was going for with long fringe. I guess I'll go ahead and see what I can do tonight. MUST. MEET. DEADLINE. For once in my life, at least.
OH! I almost forgot to tell you about the cool knitting club on Monday nights at the Rural Hall library. Last night there were about 9 of us there, in all different stages of knitting, gabbing, learning different stitches, and comparing tools and tricks. I am happy to say that the method of casting on and binding off were the preferred methods of my 'instructors', so Sara and Betty taught me well.
Oh, and I saw a llama farm today on route 4. Can we say alpaca wool? All together now... Yeesssss. *taps fingertips together evillllly with appropriate camera recession and cue building echos of wicked laughter * Mwa. Haha. HAHAHAHA. HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!
*looks around, sees no one is amused, nonchalantly picks at cuticles*

Purty purty purty!!!! I'm so glad you were happy with the knittin' club! What a GREAT find! Wanna come knit during the Closing Ceremonies?
On the contrary, I am quite amused.
