It's another day
And I'm still pregnant. Granted, I've only got 6 weeks to go, but since I'm carrying the bulk of the weight now, these 6 feel much longer than the first 6 weeks.
Bobby is snoozing/watching TV/farting loudly, and Sara is re-pinking her hair. Everyone is doing something except me.
Scratch that. Now I'm listening to my 'other' mother podcasting... and Lordy mercy, I've heard of people having a stroke from laughing this hard. If you have never heard of an Extroduction, by all means, subscribe to her podcast. (and Chloe is my cat, by the way... we didn't mention that in my phone conversation, but most of you that saw my post a few weeks ago will know that already) Then check out her store - www.cafepress.com/betriska. And seeing as everyone but me has a cafepress site, go see Sara's, too - www.cafepress.com/sarasays.
I'm knitting some dishcloths and a scarf right now, on my new Denise knitting needles. They were a present from my ever-so-thoughtful husband, along with a shadow box for the baby stuff, and some nifty fuzzy socks, and lots of candy. My Sara gifted me some beautimus Old Navy maternity clothes which were so desparately needed, and Betty made me a felted bag, and some knitting needles with stars on the ends, several cool books, and a mini-stocking. She also made Logan a cute penguin blanket and matching pillow, which his mommy has been using so selfishly. Molly gave me two skeins of yarn - one Opal, and one Bernat, which match each other! Emily gave me a Burt's Beeswax gift set, which I've used quite a bit - let me recommend the coconut foot cream. Divine. Rick gave Bobby an awesome Buck's pocket knife, which he has been carrying faithfully. Mom got Bobby a Johnny Cash CD and some gloves, and Dad got him some vintage Vietnam-era binoculars. Mom got me a Sears gift card and a pair of socks, and Destiny got Logan lots of baby clothes. Bobby's parents got us one of those cool One-Touch can openers for when the baby is occupying my other hands, (and it works just like it says on TV, people!) and his gram got us a dish set that matches our kitchen. Ron gave us a summer sausage set, which was gone very quickly, and Logan got a cute going-home outfit. We were very blessed this year to have friends, family, and gifts, to boot! Thank you to everyone!!
Since Logan is insisting on thumping on me, I'm gonna go crowd him by eating another bowl of cereal. I've only gained 28 pounds, so I'm a little concerned he's gonna be a small baby. In this family, that just ain't right. Hopefully, I'll start packing on the pounds in the next 6 weeks. He needs all the help he can get. My harem is in bed, and so is their daddy, so I guess me and the cereal will be next. Toodle-doo!
