Nope, no baby yet.
I have the strong urge to flip people off today. I haven't done it, mind you, but there were 6 people that pulled out in front of me today in a 5 mile stretch. Pulled out an stopped directly in front of me. I thought I had accidentally left my cloaking device on in my car, but I checked, and it was off. They were just asking for trouble.
I guess a photo is in order, seeing as I am the size of a barn now. Don't mind the frazzled hair - its the look I'm going for, really. I had a lady in the store today ask me if I was having a boy, girl, or both. LOL. Technically, Logan is due this week - the sonogram saying the 20th, the LMP date indicating the 27th. It's getting to be an inconvenience for everyone coming to my birthing party, because most were thinking it would be last week. Now Ann has a contractor on the mountain until Sunday, Dad and Lin are headed to TN on Monday, Gail is working 2nd shift, and everyone else wants him to be born on the weekend so they can get out of work on Monday. I think he just likes it in there and doesn't want to put forth the effort to escape (not related to his dad at all...). Not that I blame him, since it's so cozy and warm, and there is no effort in eating and excreeting, but he's just too big now for me to carry around. It's getting painful to lift his heavy little self into the truck, across the parking lots, into the grocery stores, and around the kitchen. But speaking of kitchen, I was able to scrub the oven out yesterday - with a brillo pad and elbow grease. It took about an hour to get the gunk out, but it sparkles like almost new today, so it was worth it. The cleaning lock on the oven door is the devil, though. Everytime I stand near the oven, I catch my over-extended belly button on it, and I think one day soon I may actually just rip it off.I still haven't done my taxes... I have yet to complete (or start) the bulletin or PowerPoint for church tomorrow morning... I haven't finished the website updates I needed to do before the baby, and I haven't filed the bills for this month. *sigh* That must mean Logan is on his way, right? So I can be the most unprepared as possible?
At least the midwife is coming this evening for my prenatal - maybe I'll save her the trip and start labor now. I did tell you I am doing home birth, right? I know I'm not supposed to, seeing as it's "dangerous" to have a choice about having your own children and all, but I thought I'd share. I've found out so much about homebirth in the past few months that I can't imagine why people would want to go to the hospital. *shudders* The ability of mainstream to numb the mind from making rational choices just amazes me. I am still going to my OB for prenatals and labs, too, but I feel much more comfortable with my midwife just a call away. My family is still adjusting to the idea of a birthing party at my house, since they were already fighting over who would get to actually have a room pass in the hospital early on in the pregnancy.
Good news is, my sister called to let me know her farm is being included in a feature on Ashe County farms in the Carolina Country magazine in April, which means some of my photos of her farm will also be included. I can't wait! Some of you may know she's been getting mighty famous in the hills of Ashe County for speaking up for the windmills project of Dr. Calhoun's, and for being off the power grid and farming. The big sister that could. ;-)I'm selling stuff on eBay, and so far, so good. Some of the things are my uncle's, one or two are mine, but it's all interesting stuff. I love researching the stuff. I could sit, in front of my computer, for days, looking up cool stuff. Really.
Bobby is watching some TV - it's so sad about the police officer that was shot here in Winston. That's why I really like shows like Heroes and Smallville and NCIS and Numbers - smart reality breaks. Won't rot your mind, but will divert your imagination momentarily.
That being said, I need to get to work before Logan starts beating me. He hates me sitting in a chair - it totally cramps his... spine. Oop.. too late - there he goes. I might have Sara blog the birthing party hour by hour for those who want to keep track of what's going on without having to actually... be here. We'll see...

I want to come to the birthing party!! I had one of my babies at home. Please make Sara blog hour by hour. That will be fun.
Mandiedarlin', you are just... so very very very beautiful. I LOVE this picture of you!! It reminds me that I haven't taken any pregnancy photos of you. We'll have to fix that while Logan is taking his time. :-)
I'd be glad to blog hour by hour! I think that would be fun, too Misty.
Congratulations on getting your photos in that magazine. Rock on wid' your bad barn-sized self. *giggles*
Lurve you.

Whoa. Wait a minute. You scrubbed out the OVEN yesterday?
