2 week check-up

So we had our check-up today, and everything is grand. He's grown from 21 inches long to 21.5, and his head has grown from a 14" circumference to 15.5". He's up to 9 pounds, despite the acid reflux, and he's sleeping well most of the night. The eye I blacked isn't looking so bad now, and the Doc said it would lose most of the purple in the next few weeks, but that the redness on his eyelid is more of a birthmark, and might not fade until he's about a year old. PKU came back normal, and he's got a prescription for the goop in his other eye.

He's been a really good baby - very observant and quiet unless he's hungry or wet (which today was more poopy than anything...)

This photo cracks me up because I had become so desparate. In an attempt to be more environmentally and baby friendly, I am using cloth diapers during the day. After folding and pinning one diaper, I would pick him up and notice it was wet already. Three attempts and five minutes later, I was too frustrated to bother folding, and I just grabbed the diaper and pinned it under his arms. He was so distressed with this fashion faux-pas - you can really tell by the look.

Okay, bedtime again for us.
